We recently became the official digital partner for the rugby league Dacia Magic Weekend and the Kingstone Press Summer Bash, and can now reveal former rugby ace Robbie Hunter-Paul as the ambassador for the partnership.
Hunter-Paul played at the top level of club and international rugby league for over 15 years winning several notable trophies, including the World Club Challenge, Super League Championship and the Challenge Cup.
Born in New Zealand, the 41-year-old, who also works as a BBC rugby pundit, will present weekly wellbeing videos on BedzRus’ social media channels “In bed with BedzRus” covering a range of topics to help you sleep more peacefully and improve your health through sleep.
Hunter-Paul will bring you solutions on what keeps you awake at night, covering what is a good night’s sleep and how to get one, tips to get you up early in the morning, and help for parents on getting children to sleep throughout their life stages.
“I am excited to join BedzRus in their new sponsorship programme with the Dacia Magic Weekend and the Kingstone Press Summer Bash,” said Hunter-Paul.
“BedzRus are keeping the supporter at the heart of all their activities. The development of the health and wellbeing blog offers the supporter advice and information which a normal sponsorship programme would not give them.”
As well as the wellbeing videos, Hunter-Paul will also document his personal struggle with insomnia, plus the former Kiwi international will be bring a host of videos to you over the two weekends of action at the Dacia Magic Weekend and the Kingstone Press Summer Bash at the end of May.
He will bring you behind the scenes footage from two of the busiest weekends in the sport’s calendar, as he explores the calm before the storm and gets in amongst the action from the half-time activities to running the touchline in Newcastle and Blackpool.
“We are very thankful to Robbie for using his services to help deliver the partnership for the Dacia Magic Weekend and the Kingstone Press Summer Bash,” said Mark Moore, Managing Director of BedzRus.
“Robbie’s values and our company values align as we keep families and individuals at the centre of our decision making.
“The health and wellbeing blog will be there for all to see and explore, which will extend beyond the rugby league community. So we encourage as many people as possible to share the message.”
