You had to be careful not to drive the screws too far into the softwood, the screws were of a length where it was easy to break through the other side of the panels, be wary of this! The finished product looks very good and we had a very happy child. Nice to see all the fixings present!

Simple to put together, when I eventually got around to it, made from proper wood, not MDF.
Only complaint is that not all of the edges on show are stained/varvished, under the arches for example, also some routered edges & the top end pieces are quite sharp.

A great bed, slightly disappointed with the seperate items being different shades of finished pine. Although expect this with pine, makes it difficult to put the items next to each other if you want to put them around a room and not necessarily under the bed.
